MyFreightWorld Carrier Management – Carrier Compliance Specialist

Summary:

We are looking for a driven and dedicated Carrier Compliance Specialist who is highly experienced in the transportation and logistics industry, specifically working within the Carrier Sales Department of a 3PL. This role is responsible for ensuring that all carriers within our network meet company and regulatory compliance standards. The Carrier Compliance Specialist will work closely with carriers, carrier sales representatives and regulatory agencies to verify documentation, monitor performance, and mitigate risk.

Company Info: Our expertise in the transportation industry dates back more than 25 years in Less than Truckload, all types of dedicated Truckload services. We provide logistics solutions for a variety of customers, ranging from large national companies to smaller independent businesses.

Duties:

• Collect, verify, and maintain all required carrier documentation, including operating authority, insurance certificates, W-9s, and safety ratings.

• Ensure all carriers meet FMCSA, DOT, and company-specific safety and compliance standards.

• Track carrier compliance status through internal systems and external platforms (e.g., SaferWatch, Highway, Carrier411, FMCSA).

• Perform regular audits on carrier files and generate reports for internal use and external partners.

• Communicate with carriers to resolve compliance issues or documentation discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Maintain up-to-date carrier information in the Transportation Management System (TMS).

• Coordinate with dispatch, sales, and risk management teams to address any compliance related concerns or restrictions.

• Assist in developing and implementing compliance procedures and carrier qualification standards.

Experience:

 

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred

• 1–3 years of experience in carrier compliance, transportation, or logistics preferred

• Knowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations and industry compliance practices

• Proficiency with TMS systems and carrier onboarding tools (e.g., Highway, MyCarrierPackets, SaferWatch)

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
