We are looking for an individual with sharp marketing acumen and great written communication skills who is willing to entrench themselves in the trucking industry and help communicate our purpose and value propositions to manufacturers, distributors, and retailers. We are looking for someone who is interested in creating great content and campaigns, measuring the success of those campaigns, and being an integral part of the partnership between marketing and sales.

We have very few formal marketing processes and are only active on a small number of platforms. This is a chance for the right individual to really put their stamp on creating a marketing department MFW can be proud of.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • MFW SME: Become an expert on all the MFW product offerings, modes of transportation, value propositions, and ideal customers.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan aligned with the company’s goals and objectives, considering market trends, target audience, and competitive landscape.
  • Digital Marketing: Create and manage digital marketing campaigns, including search engine optimization (SEO), social media, email marketing, and content marketing, to drive customer engagement and generate leads.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitor analysis. Use the insights to develop targeted marketing strategies and provide recommendations to optimize customer acquisition and retention.
  • Content Creation: Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling marketing collateral, including website content, blog posts, white papers, case studies, videos, and infographics, that effectively communicate our value proposition and corporate purpose.
  • Sales Enablement: Collaborate closely with the sales team to develop sales support materials, such as presentations, brochures, and go-to-market strategies to enable effective lead nurturing and conversion.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor marketing campaign performance using relevant analytics tools. Prepare regular reports, analyze key metrics, and provide actionable insights to optimize marketing strategies and ROI.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources across various marketing activities.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Marketing Coordinator or similar role. Experience in the logistics industry is a BIG plus.
  • Ability to learn and become a subject matter expert over time about the freight industry.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing principles, strategies, and best practices, with a focus on digital marketing and brand management.
  • Graphic Design skills and/or ability to manage graphic design partners.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns, utilizing various channels and techniques.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including SEO, social media management, email marketing, and marketing automation software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content designed to increase demand.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team management and collaboration across departments.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving innovation and continuous improvement.
