WHAT’S LEARNED WHEN WE HIRE SOMEONE FROM A LARGE COMPETITOR

The following is a true story. The names have been changed to protect the innocent (and the guilty). 😄

🚛 Derek had worked for not one, but TWO sizable logistics companies. When he arrived at #mfw a few months ago, seeking a better experience, this is some of what he had to say:

“I do a LOT of truckload and this truckload coverage team is the best I’ve ever seen and worked with. The missed pickup date percentage is less than 2%, compared to the two “big boys” I worked for where it was closer to 25%. The difference is like night and day. Amazing, really.”

Derek continued. “Here’s some of why MFW is so much better than those larger competitors.”

👉 The freight is priced correctly on the FRONT END, minimizing all sorts of potential problems on the back end

👉 The ratio of MFW Account Executives to carriers sales reps. is an astounding ** 4:1 **

👉 The carrier sales team isn’t afraid to make OUTBOUND CALLS, versus waiting for the load to ring from a board listing

👉 The MFW Account Executives and carrier sales reps. are in the same building and, you won’t believe it, they actually COLLABORATE!

While we appreciated Derek’s kind words, they were no surprise to us. One of our three corporate behaviors is, “We’re in this together,” and that’s something we take very seriously because it allows us to perform at a high, uncommon level for our shipper-partners.

Of course, it continues to prove that “bigger isn’t always better.” What do you think?
