DON’T LET A CRISIS ALTER YOUR TRANSPORTATION “SUCCESS PLAN”
There’s a lot of chatter right now about a looming rail strike 🚂 and what that might mean for the economy, and maybe you and your organization. To be sure, about 30% of the nation’s cargo moves by rail. That’s no small number.
And yet …
As the adage goes, “Don’t let the highs get you too high or the lows get you too low.” In other words, stay the course. Remain balanced. What does that mean regarding your freight broker in uncertain times?
We ask that your demands remain the SAME when assessing who you’ve chosen to be your trucking partner:
🚛 EXPERTISE. We’re referring to problem-solving. Innovation. Not only thinking outside-the-box, but at times thinking in entirely different boxes. How does your broker handle your unique challenges, including those involving special equipment; drayage and final mile; perceived language barriers; damaged freight; and the like? Hey, you have more important things to do.
🚛 RESPONSIVENESS. More than ever, “certainty” is achieved by unparalleled communication between you and your providers. If you’ve ever experienced finding out about an important problem before hearing from your broker, you know what we’re talking about. You should never be blindsided by complications and obstacles – trouble – left to spend your valuable time determining what happened and how to fix it. Who needs that anxiety?
🚛 TRUST. If the results have been there for you in the past, they’ll most likely be there for you today and in the future … especially if Expertise and Responsiveness are present. Conversely, if there’s little to no trust, how much time are you spending worrying about things you shouldn’t have to?
If these qualifiers are present and have served you well, our advice is to stand firm. Maintain. Endure.
👉 However, if you currently do NOT have faith in your provider’s expertise and responsiveness – or trust them to have your back in both good and not so good times – then please call us at #mfw.
