Tension. Stress. These are the LAST things you need as Q1 heads toward a close.

Complicating matters, consider a few of the market factors impacting the transportation industry so far in 2022:

👉 ABSENTEEISM. Drivers, warehousing, cross dock operations, office workers… there isn’t a role that hasn’t been impacted by the Omicron variant. And this is across all modes, including truckload; LTL; van; flatbed; refrigerated; you name it. Toss in driver vacations that extended from 2021, and it’s all problematic, to say the least.

👉 REDUCED CAPACITY. Because of the aforementioned people shortages (and other key factors), systemic freight capacity is still depressed, putting a strain on shippers.

👉 WEATHER. While regional in nature, this season’s snowstorms have wreaked havoc on freight logistics from coast to coast. Supply chains, road closures, and traffic flows have each been disrupted, creating a challenging ripple effect.

👉 RISING RATES. As freight volumes continue to trend “healthy,” coupled with the previous bullet points, rates have climbed, placing a strong focus on shipper cost controls.

These realities make it more important than ever to invest in a real PARTNER who relieves whatever degree of anxiety you may be feeling when trying to accomplish a job done well.

Yes, your freight spend should be controlled. We totally get it. However, as our continued growth at #mfw suggests, “We are far more than just a freight quote.” In other words, what if “transportation spend” were viewed more in terms of “total cost of ownership” like other investments?

Our sole purpose is to relieve pressure for our valued customers, however we can. Anyone can say, “We care.” It’s a whole other thing completely to prove it every day.

More skilled problem-solvers do not exist, especially when working within a genuine team environment. If you’re experiencing tension or stress, give us a call. We’re here to help.
