MyFreightWorld Carrier Management – After Hours Carrier Sales Representative

Summary: We are looking for a motivated and dependable After-Hours Carrier Sales Representative to join our growing team. This role is responsible for managing freight during non-business hours by securing carrier capacity, monitoring shipments, and quickly resolving any issues that arise. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring uninterrupted service for our customers during evenings and later hours. Company Info: Our expertise in the transportation industry dates back more than 25 years in Less than Truckload, all types of dedicated Truckload services. We provide logistics solutions for a variety of customers, ranging from large national companies to smaller independent businesses.

 

Duties:

  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM CST
  • Source and secure carrier capacity for live or last-minute shipments.
  • Track and trace active loads and provide timely updates to internal teams and customers.
  • Respond to carrier and driver issues promptly with effective problem-solving.
  • Communicate directly with carriers to negotiate rates and confirm availability.
  • Ensure all load details are accurate in the Transportation Management System (TMS).
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, dispatch, and sales teams to resolve service issues.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism during off-hours communication.
  • Strengthen existing carrier relationships and build new ones to expand overnight coverage.

 

Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1–2 years of experience in a logistics, 3PL or carrier sales role preferred
  • Familiarity with TMS systems and transportation software platforms (e.g., DAT, Truckstop, Highway)
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, primarily Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend coverage as needed (this position is not scheduled for all seven days)
