MyFreightWorld Carrier Management – Claims and Dispute Coordinator Job Description

Position Overview:

We are looking for a talented, driven Claims and Dispute Coordinator to become a key part of our operation. This is a new role that has been made necessary due to outstanding Company growth in the past several years. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing and resolving freight claims and disputes, ensuring exceptional communication with both our customers and carriers. Your dedication to advocating for our customers’ needs while maintaining strong working relationships with carriers will be key to success in this position.

 

Company Info: Our expertise in the transportation industry dates back more than 20 years in Less than Truckload, all modes of Truckload services, Intermodal, International, and Parcel Consulting Services. We provide logistics solutions for various customers, ranging from large national companies to smaller independent businesses.

 

 

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Claims Management: Process, track, and manage freight claims from initiation to resolution, ensuring timely follow-ups and adherence to claim deadlines.

 

  • Dispute Resolution: Handle disputes that arise during the shipping process, investigating issues and negotiating resolutions to minimize potential losses.

 

  • Effective Communication: Engage with customers and carriers through clear and concise communication, both written and verbal, to ensure a thorough understanding of the situation and its progression.

 

  • Customer Advocacy: Passionately advocate for our customers’ interests, providing them with updates and reassurance throughout the claims and dispute resolution process.

 

  • Carrier Collaboration: Collaborate with carriers to gather required information, documentation, and evidence to substantiate claims or disputes.

 

  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records of claims, disputes, communication, and resolutions using appropriate systems and tools.

 

  • Documentation: Prepare and submit necessary documentation, such as claim forms, evidence, and supporting documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

 

  • Analysis and Reporting: Analyze claim trends and dispute patterns, offering insights to improve processes and prevent future issues.

 

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline claims and dispute processes, enhancing efficiency and customer satisfaction.

 

  • Relationship Building: Establish and nurture strong relationships with both customers and carriers to foster effective communication and collaboration.

 

 

Desired Experience:

  • Less than Truckload (LTL) and Full Truckload experience preferred.
  • Experience using a Transportation Management System (TMS) preferred.
